The Ministry of Health has informed that more than 3,000 samples have been examined since the spread of coronavirus in the country.

Dr. Amina Jardaniah, Director of the Central Public Health Laboratories Department said: "We have received more than 3000 checks since the beginning of the discovery of the first case in the Sultanate of Covid-19."

The Ministry noted that following people’s adherence to preventive guidelines there were no record of local transmission in the first three weeks. However, 26 cases of local transmissions were recorded in the fourth week due to contact with previous cases.
