Local media reported that two Omani men drowned in a flooded valley in Wilayat Al Rustaq in South Al Batinah Governorate.

Citizen rescuers took them to a hospital, but they were pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

In total, 18 people have been killed by flash floods since the country was affected by unstable weather.

In flooded valleys, water bodies and dangerous places, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) advises people not to swim.
