According to the Oman Meteorology Department, a low pressure system coming from India will bring rain with varying intensity and thunder, along with active winds that will lead to the rise of dust along the western and eastern parts of Al Hajar Mountains.

Mountainous areas are expected to be most affected by the low pressure, including North and South Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, and North and South Al Sharqiyah.

Activated downward winds may cause dust to rise, visibility to decrease, and the possibility of flying objects to become unstable.

According to the MET office, thunderstorms are expected in the Al Hajar Mountains today, accompanied by active downwinds and hail.

"The latest weather maps and analyses of the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Centre indicate that the Sultanate could be affected by low pressure this week, according to the Civil Aviation Authority."
