Authorities In Oman Confiscate More Than 1000 Packages Of Khat

The Coast Guard Police in Dhofar Governorate apprehended five individuals of Arab nationality as they attempted to smuggle over 1000 packages of the drug Khat.
Earlier this week, the Royal Oman Police reported that the Coast Guard Police in the South Al Batinah Governorate detained two individuals of Asian nationality on charges of smuggling over 45 kilograms of hashish and 14 kilograms of crystal meth, in addition to entering the country illegally.
The Royal Oman Police stated that legal proceedings against the accused are currently in progress.
