The Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in Muscat has announced that citizens of the Sultanate of Oman are now able to acquire an entry visa to Syria through the Republic's border crossings.

In a statement, His Excellency Dr. Ambassador Idris Miya, the accredited ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Sultanate of Oman, conveyed that Omani citizens desiring to visit Syria can directly obtain the required visa upon their arrival through the border crossings for any purpose.

His Excellency emphasized that this initiative underscores the exceptional fraternal ties between the Syrian Arab Republic and the sisterly Sultanate of Oman. It also aligns with the recommendations of the joint governmental committee held in Muscat on July 12 and 13, aiming to elevate economic cooperation, trade, and tourism exchanges to match the distinguished political relations between the two nations.

He further clarified that there is no need for Omani citizens to visit any Syrian embassies or consulates abroad to obtain an entry visa. The embassy in Muscat is fully equipped to address any inquiries related to this matter or any other, providing comprehensive assistance to Omani citizens intending to visit Syria for any reason.
