Taxis operating at Sultan Qaboos Port have a base fare of RO1.5 with an additional charge of 250bz per kilometer, and waiting charges are fixed at 50bz per minute after the initial ten minutes.

The approved ride-hailing apps for hotels include Marhaba and Oman Taxi, while commercial centers will be served by taxis operated by Hala, Oman Taxi, Marhaba, Otaxi, and Tasleem. Marhaba taxis will cater to Sultan Qaboos Port.

MTCIT has emphasized that taxis serving hotels, commercial centers, and Sultan Qaboos Port must register with the approved apps by November 1, 2023, stating that "Only taxis registered with these apps will be allowed to provide services in these areas."

The third phase, commencing on January 1, 2024, will target taxis operating in public locations.

The Aber app serves as a centralized platform encompassing all licensed taxis in Oman, offering convenient access and registration in one unified platform."
