
The "Children First" Association, in collaboration with UNICEF's office in the Sultanate of Oman and the General Directorate of Education in the North Al Batinah Governorate, organized a dialogue workshop. The event was graced by the presence of His Excellency Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al Kindi, the Governor of North Al Batinah, and attended by Her Highness Dr. Mona bint Fahd Al Said.
Her Highness Dr. Mona bint Fahd Al Said, who serves as the President of the Children First Society, emphasized the workshop's significance. She highlighted that it provided children in North Al Batinah with a platform to present their proposals in areas aligned with their future aspirations. The workshop aimed to enhance their role in contributing to the realization of their present and future aspirations, particularly in two vital sectors: Education and innovation.
Held on the occasion of International Children's Day, the dialogue workshop delved into four key topics presented by students from schools in the governorate. These topics included:
- Climate change and the Sultanate of Oman's efforts to preserve the environment.
- The quality of education and innovation within educational institutions, with a focus on children.
- The future vision of the North Al Batinah Governorate concerning childhood matters in alignment with Oman Vision 2040.
- The laws pertaining to children in the Sultanate of Oman.
