Meteor Showers Visible In Omani Skies Till Aug 24

Meteor showers will be visible in the skies over Oman for a period continuing till August 24, according to Oman Astronomical Society.
In a statement, the society said, ‘Oman is currently witnessing the phenomenon of meteor showers, and the peak of this celestial activity will be seen from the evening of Thursday, August 12, to the early hours of Friday, August 13. Meteors will fall at a rate of 60 per hour at speeds of up to 72km per second.’
