The Ministry of Labour (Mol) has clarified that the act of registering employment contracts for private sector employees does not impact their eligibility to apply for government positions.

In a released statement, Mol addressed concerns, stating, "The Ministry of Labour acknowledges that individuals in the private sector have refrained from registering their employment contracts out of apprehension about their ability to vie for public sector employment."

The statement further assures citizens that public sector job opportunities are accessible to everyone, including those currently employed in the private sector, and emphasizes their right to compete for such positions.

Highlighting the importance of registering employment contracts, the Ministry underscores the need to safeguard the rights and responsibilities of both employees and employers. Additionally, it emphasizes that the duration of service, recorded through registration, serves as practical experience, providing an advantage in competing for more favorable opportunities.
