
The Secretariat General of National Celebrations has finalized the preparations for the opening program of national projects in conjunction with the commemoration of the prestigious 53rd National Day.
Among the noteworthy projects scheduled for unveiling, as recently disclosed by the Oman Investment Authority, are the Duqm Refinery and Petrochemical Industries, the Duqm Integrated Electricity and Water Station, the Ras Markaz Crude Oil Storage Project, the Khuwaimah Shrimp Farm, the electricity transmission 'link' project, and the JW Marriott Hotel Muscat.
Diverse authorities within the state's administrative structure will inaugurate a series of sustainable development projects exceeding OMR 650 million. These include the initiation of operations at the production assembly station in the Greater Saqr area (Tajgal Nimr), the opening of the fishing port, the establishment of the shipping and customs services station, and the commencement of infrastructure works at the government dock in the port of Duqm, among other initiatives. These efforts are geared towards enhancing economic diversification and attracting additional investments. The cumulative cost of the projects set to be unveiled is projected to reach OMR 4.6 billion.
