The Muscat Municipality has initiated a tender for the expansion of Al Mouj and November 18 streets in Muscat Governorate.

The municipality stated, "To enhance traffic efficiency in the vicinity and its associated streets, a project has been opened for bidding. The project aims to widen 'Al Mouj' and 'November 18' streets to three lanes in each direction. Additionally, it involves transforming key intersections, namely Al Mouj Roundabout, Al Bahjah Roundabout, and Al Ishraq Roundabout in Hail North, into high-capacity intersections equipped with traffic lights. The plan also includes the creation of service streets for existing commercial buildings in the area.

Key components of the project include:

1. Expansion of November 18 Street to three lanes in each direction.

2. Widening of Al Mouj Street to three lanes in each direction.

3. Conversion of Al Mouj Roundabout, Al Bahjah Roundabout, and Al Ishraq Roundabout in Al Hail North into high-capacity intersections with traffic lights.

4. Establishment of surface water drainage channels required for the project.

5. Implementation of necessary protections for the project.

The project's objectives encompass:

1. Improving the efficiency of traffic flow in the region, ensuring smooth movement at all times.

2. Boosting trade and development activities.

3. Serving the plans and facilities surrounding the area.
