Following the seizure of suspected adulterated cosmetic injectable medical drugs, the Ministry of Health (MoH) has taken the step of referring a private healthcare institution to the Public Prosecution.

These drugs, which have an unverified source and were not brought into the country through the approved legal channels, are in violation of the protocols established by the General Directorate of Pharmacy and Drug Control.

The MoH explained that these samples were confiscated during routine inspection campaigns conducted by the Ministry of Health, which are aimed at ensuring the safety of medicines and enforcing the legal procedures related to their import and distribution.

It is important to note that the Ministry of Health has imposed fines on numerous health centers and complexes that were found to have breached the health regulations, procedures, and preventive measures in place in the Sultanate of Oman.
