
The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, actively took part in the 2023 Global Research Council meeting dedicated to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This significant gathering transpired in Doha.
Dr. Saif Abdullah Al Hadabi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation for Research and Innovation, represented Oman at the meeting. A scholarly paper, presented by Dr. Issa Salim Al Shabibi, the Director of the Research and Innovation Programmes Department, was submitted by the Ministry.
The paper articulated the ministry's perspective on the sustainability of scholarly research. It delved into the critical aspects of education, awareness, political influences, global challenges, digital innovation, and other factors contributing to the enduring nature of sciences and scholarly research.
Oman's participation in the meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation, foster the exchange of experiences, knowledge, and visions in the realms of research and innovation. Additionally, it sought to forge international partnerships and play a role in contributing to innovative solutions.
