In response to the directive from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said, His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and the Sultan's Special Representative, participated in the virtual summit of G20 leaders held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. The summit, chaired by the Prime Minister of India, saw the involvement of numerous state leaders and heads of government.

During his address, His Highness Sayyid Asaad conveyed the congratulations of His Majesty the Sultan on the successful issuance of the consensual final statement of the G20 Leaders’ Declaration in New Delhi. This statement highlighted the G20's commitment to enhancing financial stability, ensuring the benefits of globalization for all, prioritizing environmental concerns, implementing sustainable development goals, and amplifying the voices of developing countries within global decision-making.
