
The Sultanate of Oman unveiled its plans for participation in the "Expo 2025 OSAKA - Japan," set to run from April 13 to October 13, 2025.
The announcement took place at an event hosted at the Embassy of Oman in Tokyo, Japan. The gathering was graced by His Excellency Mr. Said bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth for Culture and Commissioner-General of the Sultanate of Oman's pavilion at Expo 2025 OSAKA - Japan. Also in attendance were His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Said Al Busaidi, the accredited ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Japan, and several esteemed ambassadors from friendly and brotherly nations.
The Commissioner-General for the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion at Expo 2025 Japan - OSAKA highlighted that Oman’s participation under the theme "Designing the future society for our lives" signifies its enduring commitment to global engagement, fostering cultural exchange, and showcasing its rich heritage, contemporary reality, and sustainable development for a future shaped by innovation and progress.
He emphasized Oman's strong dedication to sustainable development goals and the country's intent, through Expo 2025 OSAKA, to engage global participation in achieving these goals, revolving around ensuring life sustainability, enhancing life quality, and advancing life through communication.
The Commissioner-General stressed that Oman's pavilion, with its unique architectural design, embodies the Omani environment, history, and future aspirations. It symbolizes Oman's pride in its heritage and civilization in an innovative manner.
The design of Oman’s pavilion at Expo 2025 is a product of the Bilarab Bin Haitham Award for Architectural Design, demonstrating Oman's sustained commitment to showcasing Omani architecture in its global representations.
Dr. Mohammed bin Said Al Busaidi, the Sultanate of Oman's Ambassador to Japan, expressed that Oman’s participation will reinforce bilateral relations between the two nations and introduce Oman's future visions across various domains.
The event showcased a visual presentation on the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion design at Expo 2025 OSAKA, presented by Bayan Bint Muslim Al Ramadani. Al Ramadani emphasized that the pavilion's design was inspired by Oman's diverse natural landscapes, reflecting the Omani people's harmonious coexistence with nature. The pavilion design focuses on three main elements: land, water, and people. The external space was intended to facilitate interaction with the pavilion's facade, exhibiting architectural elements inspired by Oman's unique terrain.
