
Yesterday, an engaging event named "Happiness Village Carnival" unfolded at the Civil Aviation Club, offering an evening of entertainment tailored for individuals with disabilities. The timing coincided with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, emphasizing the endeavor to foster their integration within society.
His Highness Sayyid Muhammad bin Thuwaini Al Said generously sponsored the event. Organized by Her Highness Sayyida Hajija bint Jeffer Al Said, the Happiness Village Carnival targeted over 1,848 children associated with various organizations serving those with disabilities. This collaborative effort involved the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Civil Aviation Club, aiming to celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and elevate their capabilities for seamless integration into society.
Her Highness highlighted the carnival's purpose: creating a secure and enjoyable space catering to the needs and abilities of individuals with disabilities while making a positive impact on their lives by offering support and empowerment.
The carnival featured diverse activities such as carriage and horse rides, entertaining shows, and safe recreational games specifically designed for children with disabilities. The event showcased comic characters, an acrobatic artist, a section for food and beverages, various games, science laboratory activities, a jumping castle, luxury car rides, bike riding, and other tailored programs.
In a significant development during the carnival, a collaboration agreement was signed between the National Finance Company and Sign Book to provide sign language translation services. Dignitaries and specialists from government and private agencies graced the occasion, underlining the collective commitment to making the event a success.
