The National Centre for Statistics and Information is set to initiate the 40th session of the Consumer Confidence Survey for the fourth quarter of 2023, starting tomorrow and concluding on December 21.
This survey is designed for Omani citizens aged 18 and above, with a minimum of 1,500 participants from diverse governorates. The selection process considers gender balance, various age groups, and educational levels.
Data collection will also involve telephone interviews through the Communications Centre of the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
The consumer confidence index serves as a crucial economic indicator, providing insights into the economic conditions of Omani households. The survey aims to assess various factors impacting the Omani economy, including family financial status, elements influencing the economy positively or negatively, expectations for the future economy, and the availability of job opportunities.
