The Sultanate of Oman's pavilion at the 26th Algiers International Book Salon has garnered significant attention, with most of the books on display selling out within the first two days. The event, which runs until November 4, is witnessing a high turnout from Algerian readers across various demographics.

Represented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth (MCSY), Oman's participation in the exhibition has been well-received by the Algerian public. Said bin Rashid Al-Obaidani, the MCSY representative at the Sultanate of Oman's pavilion, expressed, "The Algerian audience's keen interest in Omani publications is remarkable, particularly in areas such as jurisprudence, the Arabic language, and Omani history."

The Sultanate of Oman's pavilion features approximately 100 titles, showcasing publications from the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth. These publications encompass edited and printed manuscripts, as well as literary works from the Literary Forum, representing the intellectual and literary contributions of Omani youth in various genres, including poetry, novels, short stories, and literary criticism.

Al-Obaidani emphasized the importance of Oman's participation in the Algiers International Book Salon, as it introduces the Algerian public to Oman's rich cultural heritage and ancient civilization. The pavilion offers a diverse array of publications covering various fields of knowledge, ensuring that Algerian readers with an interest in learning about Oman can find a wealth of information. Notable works include "The Encyclopedia of Oman Through Time," providing a comprehensive historical account of Oman's history, and "The Omani Manuscript" by Mohammed bin Amer Al-Asiri, shedding light on the creation and art of binding Omani manuscripts.

Additionally, the pavilion showcases the "Index of the Holy Qur'an" issued by the Omani Manuscripts Department, the book "School Education and Heritage" authored by a group of writers, and the "Omani Encyclopedia," a national project endorsed by the Ministry of Heritage and Culture (formerly), which delves into the life of the Omani people.
