The Royal Hospital has introduced a cutting-edge global technology for the treatment of atrial arrhythmia as part of its ongoing efforts in the advancement and modernization of heart rhythm disorder treatment. Dr. Najib bin Zahran Al Rawahi, Director of the National Center for Cardiac Medicine and Surgery, announced the inauguration of the "Pulse Field Ablation" technology, highlighting its high effectiveness and minimal complications. Oman stands among the pioneering countries in the region to employ this advanced technology, with the Electrocardiology Unit successfully conducting three operations, resulting in excellent and stable health conditions for the patients. The technique aims to rectify electrical disturbances in the atria by using a catheter inserted through the femoral vein. Dr. Al Rawahi emphasized the National Center's expertise in handling atrial and ventricular arrhythmia cases and affirmed that such modern technologies significantly contribute to delivering optimal healthcare services to patients.
