The Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) presented the victor of the Sultan Qaboos Sailing Trophy (11th edition) in the city of Dunkirk, Republic of France. This event, showcasing Oman's commitment to sailing on regional and global platforms, coincided with the celebration of the 53rd National Day.

The Polish sailing vessel Dar Młodzieży clinched the Sultan Qaboos Sailing Trophy for the year 2023.

The award ceremony unfolded during the conclusion of an annual sailing conference organized by the International Sail Training Association, under the patronage of Azza Hamoud Al Busaidi, Chargé d’Affaires of the Sultanate of Oman’s Embassy in Paris.

Supervised by the RNO in collaboration with the International Sail Training Association, the Sultan Qaboos Sailing Trophy was inaugurated in the Kingdom of Norway in 2011 upon the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said's royal directives. It holds the distinction of being a premier accolade in the realm of sailing, providing significant support to global sail training endeavors. Additionally, the award plays a pivotal humanitarian role by promoting unity, cooperation, love, and peace.

The award ceremony saw the presence of Commodore Mohammed Hamoud Al Zadjali, Senior Staff Officer at the RNO, the Military Attaché at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Paris (non-resident for Germany, Italy, Spain, and Austria), RNO officers, the President of the International Sail Training Association, along with other officials and experts.
