According to local media, Omanis will no longer be able to use the national emblem or flag without a license from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.

The ministry stated on social media that legal action would be taken against violators who use the Royal Emblem without a permit.

From the ministry, licenses could be obtained for the use of the national emblem, flag, and map of Oman.

According to the Law of National Flag, Emblem and Anthem, it is prohibited to use the emblem for commercial marketing or advertising purposes.

Furthermore, it is prohibited to use the emblem on jewellery, products, or instruments produced locally or imported without prior permission from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion."
