
The Ministry of Health continues vaccinating people in all governorates of the Sultanate within the National Immunisation Strategy. The vaccination centres are witnessing good turnout of target segments amid a smooth process of getting the vaccine.
The drive for students aged 12 years and above reached its third week and is witnessing a good turnout of students. The ministries of health and education aim to vaccinate 320,000 students from public and private schools.
The ministry also continues vaccinating target segments eligible for the first dose as well as administering the second dose for those who completed 10 weeks since taking their first dose.
In Ibri alone, as many as 11,923 male and female students have received the vaccine followed by students of international schools in different governorates including Muscat.
The ministry emphasises the importance of booking appointments in advance before heading to vaccination centres in various governorates of the Sultanate. This is to ensure a safe and smooth process for all, with full adherence to preventive measures.
Several people targeted for vaccination applauded the ease and smoothness of the followed procedures in getting the vaccine. They also valued the efforts exerted by the government in ensuring the well-being and safety of citizens and residents in the Sultanate.
Meanwhile, thousands of domestic workers received their first dose of vaccination against Covid-19 on Sunday at various centres spread across the governorates of the country.
