Three Players Tested Positive In Oman’s Football Team

Three members of Oman’s national football team were tested positive, the Oman Football Association has issued a statement.

The association said that the members of the first national team delegation had to undergo RT-PCR tests on Wednesday morning.

The federation stated that players Juma’a Al-Habsi, Ahmed Al-Kaabi and Khaled Al-Buraiki, and will be absent from tomorrow’s match against the Saudi Arabia in the seventh round of the final stage of the Asian Cup qualifiers for the World Cup – Qatar 2022.

The federation indicated that those concerned were subjected to quarantine, in order to preserve the safety of the players and in accordance with the binding procedures established by the International and Asian Football Associations, and the procedures in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Oman Football Association had previously announced the registration of three COVID-19 cases of among its team members — Essam Al-Subhi and Abdulaziz Al-Ghilani and team photographer, Hani Al-Qasimi.
