11 Members From A Family Diagnosed Colon Cancer In Oman

Eleven members from a single-family have been diagnosed with colon cancer in Oman due to hereditary factors.
Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed Al Alawi, consultant colon and rectal surgeon and head of general surgery at the Royal Hospital, said:" There is a family in the Sultanate, where the number of colon cancer patients reached 11 people among the family."
In an interview with Al Shabiba radio, Al-Alawi explained that one of the factors for colon cancer is hereditary and genetic factors, a factor that medicine can not prevent from happening.
