13 researchers have won the National Research Award (NRA).

" The Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation organised the eighth annual forum for researchers, which included announcing the winners of the National Research Award, which aims to motivate researchers to conduct high-quality research and qualify national cadres," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.

Her Excellency Dr. Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, said in her speech: "The National Award for Research in the previous cycle witnessed a great turnout and wide participation in various sectors from local academic and scientific institutions."

Her Excellency indicated the increase in the number of research submitted  to compete in the award in its current cycle compared to the previous cycle , with an increase of 34 published researches. The number of submitted researches reached 343.

13 researchers won the National Research Award in i six sectors which are: health and community service, environment and vital resources, education and human resources, culture and social sciences, energy, industry, communications and information systems.
