His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has directed the Diwan of the Royal Court to finance the construction of 6 schools in the next phase.

A statement issued online by Oman TV said: "His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik gives his generous directives for the Diwan of Royal Court to finance the construction of 6 schools during the next phase at an estimated financial cost of about OMR 8.85 million."

"This move comes as part of His Majesty's understanding of the needs of the education sector throughout the Sultanate and his supreme keenness to provide a supportive and stimulating environment for education as the basis for building the present and future of Oman."
