His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received an official welcome at the Istana Palace in Singapore during his State Visit to the Republic of Singapore. President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, among others, greeted His Majesty and extended wishes for a pleasant stay.

Subsequently, President Tharman Shanmugaratnam accompanied His Majesty to the dais of honor, where the Omani Royal Anthem and the Singaporean Republican Anthem were played. His Majesty, accompanied by the Singaporean President, inspected the guard of honor, receiving a salute.

The leaders proceeded to the reception building, where His Majesty signed the visitors’ book and engaged with senior members of the welcoming party. Notable attendees included Masagos Zulkifli, Minister of Social and Family Development, and Dr. Mohamed Malki Bin Othman, Minister at the Office of the Prime Minister, who headed the Mission of Honor.

Following this, a bilateral meeting between His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Tharman Shanmugaratnam took place at the Istana Palace. President Shanmugaratnam reiterated his welcome, and the leaders discussed various aspects of cooperation, expressing a mutual desire to strengthen ties for the benefit of both nations.

The meeting delved into regional and international developments, and the leaders exchanged perspectives on matters of shared interest. Delegations from Oman and Singapore attended the meeting, emphasizing the significance of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
