In a groundbreaking development, the Environment Authority (EA) of the Sultanate of Oman has employed cameras to capture the Arabian Scops Owl in Musandam Governorate.

The EA announced in a statement, "The Environment Authority is actively monitoring the Arabian Scops Owl in the Wilayat of Dibba, Musandam Governorate."

As per information from Wikipedia, the Arabian scops owl (Otus pamelae) is a petite owl species that is native to Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Yemen. The estimated current population of this species stands at approximately 60,000 individuals.
