Fine Of OMR 100,000 And Three Years In Jail For Trafficking Antiquities

People misusing information technology or displaying information with with the intent to trafficking in antiquities or artifacts will be imposed with a jail term of 3 years and/ or a fine that extends to OMR 100,000.
A statement issued online by Public Prosecution said : "Creating a website or using means of information technology to publish or display information with the intent to trafficking in antiquities or artifacts under circumstances other than those prescribed by low is an offense punishable by imprisonment for a period up to 3 years and a fine that extends to OMR 100,000 or by either one of the two sentences. "
