Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai has strongly condemned Pakistan's widespread expulsion of Afghan refugees, deeming it inappropriate and inconsistent with principles of good neighborliness and humanitarian values, as reported by Khaama Press, an Afghan news agency.

Karzai stressed that Pakistan's issues are unrelated to Afghanistan and its Afghan migrants. He also pointed out the sharp contrast between Pakistan's recent actions and its four-decade-long history of extending brotherhood and hospitality to Afghan migrants. He highlighted the significant positive contributions made by Afghan migrants to Pakistan's economic and social sectors.

Karzai called upon Pakistan to reconsider its stance towards Afghanistan, advocating for a more forward-looking and prudent approach in their bilateral relations.

Meanwhile, Amnesty International has also urged the Pakistani government to continue its "historic support" for Afghan migrants and refrain from implementing its threat of expelling them from Pakistan, according to Khaama Press.

The interim government of Pakistan has made a significant announcement regarding the expulsion of what they classify as "illegal" migrants. Under this decision, Pakistan has given all Afghan migrants, including those with valid residency permits, a one-month deadline to leave the country.

As reported by Khaama Press, this action by Pakistan's interim government signals a notable shift in their immigration policies and raises questions about the fate of Afghan migrants, many of whom have lived in Pakistan for extended periods.
