His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has delivered a royal speech on the occasion of January 11th, the anniversary of His Majesty's accession to power in the country.

His Majesty said in his speech that he is doing his very best to build a prosperous future for the people of Oman. He pointed to the improvement in the economic and financial performance of the Sultanate, and the emphasis on moving forward in implementing the economic and social plans and programmes guided by the Oman 2040 vision.

His Majesty also stressed that the goal of sustaining the state's ability to meet its financial obligations is the biggest goal at this stage, and expressed satisfaction with the positive change in the path of financial performance.

In addition, HM said that the youth are at the heart of the government's interest, and he is looking forward to all sectors of the state and the private sector to play their aspired roles in providing job opportunities for young qualified Omanis, and provide the right skills necessary for those who want to engage in the labour market.

His Majesty the Sultan noted his determination to support male and female entrepreneurs, encourage entrepreneurship programmes and provide the necessary support and incentives for small and medium enterprises due to their role in revitalising the economy and providing job opportunities.
