
Royal directives have been issued to raise the amounts allocated to the Governorate Development Programme from OMR 10 million to OMR 20 million for each governorate.
"His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik during his meeting with the sheikhs of the wilayats of the governorates of Al Dakhiliyah and Al Wusta, in Hisn Al Shumoukh in the Wilayat of Manah, issued his royal directives to raise the amounts allocated to the Governorate Development Program from OMR 10 million to OMR 20 million for each governorate," Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a statement.
His Majesty directs to assign their Excellencies and Governors to submit an annual implementation plan to the concerned authorities on how to utilise these allocations and to assign the responsibility of following up on the government agencies concerned with implementing projects with social and service dimensions in the governorates to the Governors.
His Majesty urged that Omani women’s associations and rehabilitation centres for people with disabilities, both governmental and private, in all the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman play their effective and important roles, and out of his belief in their vital contributions to community service and development; His Majesty gave his noble directives to provide the appropriate financial support, care for and develop it.
Within the framework of the supreme interest in meeting its people in all the governorates of the dear country, meeting their needs of basic projects and development services, and listening closely to their demands for the good and benefit of this honorable country and its loyal children, and overcoming all the difficulties facing the comprehensive development process.
