The Royal Oman Police (ROP) arrested a person after he was caught driving under the influence of alcohol during the movement ban period.

In a statement issued by the Public Prosecution said: "The court of first instance in the Governorate of Muscat convicted an accused person for not adhering to the procedures and measures established to prevent the spread of infection, as he was caught driving his vehicle under the influence of alcohol during movement ban hours.”

"The court ruled a six-month prison sentence and a fine of OMR 800 , along with revoking the driving licence for a period of 6 months, " PP added.
