Dr. Abdullah emphasized the media's role, through both traditional and modern channels and platforms, in supporting peace initiatives. He stressed the press's responsibility in unveiling facts, especially concerning humanitarian issues, and advocating for the rights of civilians to lead dignified and stable lives. He highlighted that press freedom should be exercised as a 'responsible,' 'disciplined,' and 'impartial' freedom, guided solely by the principles of truth and justice.

In response, the members of the FPA delegation expressed their gratitude to the Ministry of Information for inviting them to visit Oman and gain insights into the nation's development across various sectors. They expressed their admiration for Oman's cultural and modern landmarks and commended the growth of Omani media and its high-quality content.

Established nearly 130 years ago, the Foreign Press Association serves as a non-political organization funded by its members' subscriptions. It stands as one of the oldest journalist associations globally and is the sole association of its kind in the United Kingdom
