More Than 20 Expatriates Detained In Oman For Breaching Labor Regulations
The Ministry of Labour, in collaboration with authorities, has apprehended 25 expatriates for violating labor laws in the Muscat Governorate.
"As part of the ongoing efforts to monitor the expatriate workforce and ensure their adherence to the provisions of the Labor Law, and in the continued fight against the unauthorized peddling activities carried out by expatriate workers in the Muscat Governorate, specifically in the Wilayats of Qurayyat and Amerat, the Ministry of Labour, through the General Directorate of Labour Welfare, conducted an inspection campaign. In the course of this campaign, 25 workers were detained for contravening the stipulations of the Labor Law. Legal actions are being taken against them," stated a release.
