The Ministry of Health (MOH) will  begin vaccinating a new target group from Sunday ( February 7) , as part of the first phase of the national campaign for immunisation against Covid-19 with the AstraZeneca vaccine.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said, "Next Sunday, the Ministry of Health will begin vaccinating a new target group of community groups within the first phase of the national campaign for immunisation against Covid-19 using the vaccine manufactured by AstraZeneca in cooperation with the University of Oxford."

"The campaign targets the elderly who are 65 years and over in all governorates of the Sultanate, regardless of whether they are healthy or suffering from any chronic diseases, provided that the vaccination is received at vaccination centers announced in the governorates," the statement added.
