The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion has issued ministerial decision No.34/2021 to approve the Gulf Technical Regulations for Children's Toys.

Article 1 states, "The Gulf Technical Regulations for Children's Toys shall be approved No.(BD-131704-01)- related to the basic requirements that must be met in children's toys before they are placed on the market as a binding technical regulation in the Sultanate.

Article 2 states, "An administrative fine not exceeding OMR 300 shall be imposed on anyone who violates the provisions of this decision, and the fine will be doubled in the event of repeated violation."

Article 3 states, "This decision shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall be enforced 6 months from the date of its publication."
