The Sultanate has affirmed its continued support for the Yemeni people in a statement.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said: "The Sultanate affirms its commitment to providing humanitarian aid to the brotherly Yemeni people and to financing the humanitarian response plan and relief efforts to alleviate the humanitarian tragedy, noting that the Omani support for Yemen on various levels will continue and will not stop."

"A speech delivered by His Excellency Dr. Mohammad bin Awad Al-Hassan, the Sultanate’s permanent representative to the United Nations in New York, at the high-level event on the humanitarian crisis in Yemen at the United Nations, called for an end to the war in Yemen because of its catastrophic effects. Oman supported the Secretary-General's call for a ceasefire," the statement added.
