Muscat: The Sultanate celebrated the International Tsunami Awareness Day on November 5th. 

The celebration this year aims to encourage the development of local and national plans to reduce disaster risks and save lives. The Sultanate, represented by the Civil Aviation Authority, participated with the countries of the world in celebrating the International Tsunami Awareness Day, which falls on November 5th of each year.

The Civil Aviation Authority said, “On the occasion of the International Tsunami Awareness Day we congratulate our national cadres who work professionally and with perfection with all the devices and systems devoted to monitoring and controlling tsunami waves."
