A private Omani-Bahraini company will be established by the end of 2021, said the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI).

"In a meeting chaired on the Omani side by His Excellency Eng. Ridha bin Juma Al Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and on the Bahraini side by His Excellency Mr. Samir Abdullah Nass, Chirman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The meeting discussed investment opportunities and was attended by a number of business owners from the two countries," OCCI said in a statement.

The Chairman of OCCI assured the strength of existing economic, commercial, investment and social relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

"This meeting had a great impact in enhancing the joint economic and investment work between the two sides in various fields, especially in the direction towards providing the Gulf market needs of food commodities and agricultural products," added the Chairman.

Eng. Ridha Al Saleh also said: "The private sector in the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain should strive hard to raise the volume of trade exchange and create a strategic partnership between the two countries by establishing strategic partnerships that enhance the volume of trade exchange, by investing in the distinguished opportunities in the Omani market related to food security."

" The environment and investment laws in the Sultanate of Oman grant foreign investors full ownership of companies in addition to its strategic location as a logistics centre," Al Saleh added.

His Excellency Mr. Samir Abdullah Nass, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the meeting deepened the trade relations between the two countries

During the meeting, a number of bilateral meetings were held to discuss opportunities for cooperation and commercial partnerships between business owners in the two countries

The meeting also discussed the establishment of a private Omani-Bahraini company, keenness to complete its establishment before the end of this year, and nominating representatives from both sides to follow up on the establishment.
