More than 15,000 certificates of release have been issued in the third quarter of 2020, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) has announced.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said, "The number of release certificates issued for the most important commodities in the sectors of mechanical, mineral, electrical and chemical products, building materials, food and agricultural products during the third quarter of 2020 was about 15,083, according to the statistics issued by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.

The Ministry’s Statistics Department indicated that the release certificates in the mechanical and metallic products sector amounted to 1,238 represented in the release certificates for passenger cars and their tires, and in the electrical products' sector amounted to 1,495 related to the certificates of the release of lead-acid batteries for cars, air-conditioning and refrigeration devices, low-voltage electrical appliances and equipment. In the chemical products sector amounted to 1,598 certificates of release in the form of automotive engine oils and cosmetics.

The statistics indicated that the certificates of release in the building materials products sector during the third quarter of 2020 amounted to 10,705 certificates related to Portland cement, rebar, toys, safety shoes and paints, and the number of release certificates in the food and agricultural products sector reached 47.
