
More than 7,000 people have been inoculated with the Covid-19 vaccine in the Sultanate and the Minister of Health stated on Sunday that no unexpected side effects were witnessed so far, the Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi, Minister of Health, during an inspection visit to the vaccination centers in the Governorate of Muscat, said that 7,600 people have been vaccinated in the Sultanate to date and that no side effects have been recorded except for what was expected.
At the Baushar Specialised Complex, more than 1,000 people have received the vaccine so far. "Dr. Hanan Bint Abdullah Al-Mahrouqiya, President of the Baushar Specialised Complex, described the turnout for vaccination since the launch of the campaign last Sunday as great by citizens and residents and confirmed that the vaccination process is going smoothly and safely," the ONA said.
"To date, we have vaccinated 1, 458 people in the Governorate of Muscat, and they are among the groups targeted in the first phase," Dr. Al-Mahrouqiya was quoted as saying by ONA.
