People aged over 60 will be exempted from having to book hotels for the mandatory quarantine before they enter the Sultanate.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a list of people who will be exempt from the rule requiring visitors to Oman to show that they have booked hotel accomodation for the mandatory quarantine period. The list is as follows:

1- Children under the age of 15 and people over 60 years old.
2- Diplomatic missions
3- Airline crews
4- Sick passengers who obtain an exemption in writing from the concerned Health Authorities due to medical circumstances
5- Holders of permits for private institutional isolation centers that are pre-approved by the Relief and Shelter Sector
