All services of the Royal Oman Police (ROP), which were halted after the COVID-19 outbreak, will begin on July 1, the ROP sources have told the Observer.
“We will begin all services from July 1. They were stopped as a precautionary measure after many cases were reported in the country, a senior spokesperson at the ROP has said.
All the services at the General Directorate of Passport and Residence including civil status, visa issuance, visa stamping and resident card services were suspended on March 19 after several cases of the pandemic were reported in the country.
The closure of the services had affected the entry of the public to ROP facilities at traffic, passport and residence and civil status departments.
To meet the needs of the public, the ROP has kept many self-service kiosks for renewal of vehicle registration.
