Salalah Port Welcomes A Cruise Ship Carrying 2,340 Passengers

On November 5, 2023, Salalah Port welcomed a cruise ship carrying 2,340 passengers, among them 1,566 tourists, as part of its ongoing global tourism program. The passengers arrived from the Egyptian port of Safaga and are en route to Victoria, the Seychelles Islands. During their visit, they will explore the significant archaeological, touristic, and historical attractions for which the Dhofar Governorate is renowned. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to visit the beaches and traditional markets in the city of Salalah.
It's worth noting that the Sultanate of Oman hosts several cruise ships each year due to its exceptional maritime location along the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea, and the Sea of Oman.
