On Sunday, H.E. Sayyid Badr Hamad al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister, received phone calls from Dr. Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Ayman al Safadi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
During these conversations, H.E. Sayyid Badr exchanged thoughts regarding the ongoing Israeli military aggression in the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in further civilian casualties and the destruction of public facilities, hospitals, and schools. They also delved into regional and global initiatives aimed at achieving a humanitarian ceasefire to facilitate the work of relief organizations, provide medical care to the injured, deliver life-saving supplies to the Gaza Strip's population, and repair vital utilities that have been damaged.
The two ministers emphasized the significance of prioritizing diplomatic and political actions to enforce international law and restore the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. They underscored the need to put an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
Furthermore, the ministers discussed the perils associated with ongoing military escalation and the deteriorating humanitarian circumstances. They also addressed the serious regional challenges that are anticipated to be discussed at the extraordinary Arab Summit, scheduled to be hosted by Saudi Arabia later this month.
