Another bad news for Expatriates in Oman, the Omani Govt is going to pass an order to its business houses to discontinue giving jobs to other national.

The pandemic has its many effects for the world population; some of us learnt the importance of Cleanliness and to change our lifestyle by involving daily exercise routine for better immunity. The negative effects of losing the Life and loved ones are the worst one.

The second worst thing which happened in last few months, is loosing the Jobs & losses in Businesses.

This pandemic is going to affect again in Oman as Omani Govt is going to make a policy which will create problems for Expats as they could loose their jobs in the country and can be asked to leave the country.

The Govt officials had a meeting on, headed by Nasr Bin Amer Al Hosni and various other HR Professionals, which were 30 in numbers, from different fields like Banking & Finance, Currency Exchange etc. it was made clear that sub-contracting of expatriate employees was to be discontinued for the foreseeable future

The Govt has given him its mandate that the business houses have to provide employment to Omani Nationals only. The business houses are also told to start Training Facilities to Omani nationals so as to make them Job ready and up to their requirement.
This will help Omani Nationals to secure jobs in near future but it will create problems for Expats.

Though the Under Secretary and his Department did not explained the name of the sectors in which the Expats will be discontinued.

The situation is still Wait and Watch and pray to almighty to not to include your Job Skills and the sector in which you are working in Oman.
