The launch of the 2023 Serb season activities in the Wilayat of Rakhyut was organized by the Dhofar Municipality in collaboration with the Office of the Governor of Rakhyut. Various government and private agencies participated in this initiative, aligning with the municipality's efforts to bolster economic and tourism facets and create a hub for entertainment and cultural interaction.
These events will occur every Thursday and Friday throughout the month of October, taking place at the city center in Rakhyut Province. They encompass a diverse array of activities suitable for all segments of society and visitors.
Ammar Obed Ghawas, Director of the Department of Events and Awareness at Dhofar Municipality, elaborated on the Dhofar 2023 Serb events in the Wilayat of Rakhyut. These events will encompass a range of activities reflecting various environments and aspects of heritage life. Highlights include dazzling laser shows, cultural exhibitions, recreational and sports activities, family-oriented events, artistic performances, competitions, and educational programs. The city's offerings will also feature water-based experiences, boat excursions, a mobile carnival, and the Adventure World's "Tele Match" event.
He emphasized that the activities of Dhofar Serb season in the Wilayat of Rakhyut will celebrate the deep-rooted cultural heritage of the Sultanate of Oman and promote small and medium enterprises through exhibitions showcasing productive families and crafts. Other attractions include open-air cinema screenings, sports competitions, and the Rakhyut Park Theater event.
The Director of the Department of Events and Awareness at Dhofar Municipality clarified that these Serb season activities are part of a comprehensive plan to expand the range of activities across different seasons, encompassing all the wilayats within the governorate.
The Dhofar Serb events, which commenced in September 2022, featured the Salalah Tour cycling race and the Dhofar Municipality Ironman Championship, along with the grueling "Spartan" endurance race
