The preparatory meeting for the Supreme Military Committee of the GCC Chiefs of Staff took place in Muscat on Monday. This gathering was hosted at Al Shafaq Club of the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF) and was chaired by Brigadier Hamid Abdullah Al Balushi, the SAF Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning. Air Vice Marshal Issa Rashid Al Mohannadi, the Assistant Secretary for Military Affairs at the GCC Secretariat General, and Maj. Gen Sultan Mohammed Al Ma'amari, the Head of the Operations and Training Unit at the Unified Military Command, were also present.

The meeting revolved around discussions concerning military cooperation among the GCC countries and covered various topics of mutual interest to the GCC member states.
