Oman's Foreign Minister, along with his Iranian counterpart, discussed the ongoing Israeli military aggression against the Gaza Strip.
During a phone call, His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Oman's Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Dr. Hossein Amirabdollahian, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, shared their perspectives on the sustained Israeli military aggression in Gaza. They expressed concerns about the loss of civilian lives, the destruction of public infrastructure, hospitals, and schools.
Both ministers also delved into political initiatives and regional and international efforts aimed at securing a humanitarian ceasefire. They highlighted the importance of allowing relief operations to provide medical care for the injured, deliver essential supplies to Gaza's population, and repair critical facilities.
Furthermore, they emphasized the significance of prioritizing diplomatic and political solutions while adhering to international law. These efforts are geared towards restoring the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, ultimately leading to the end of the occupation and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. They underscored that there is no benefit in expanding the scope of the ongoing conflict initiated by Israeli occupation forces and that these actions should bear legal consequences.
